This is a UI project that I did with Coursera, it is an app that I definitely want to complete and make real cause I am an owner of four cats!
Here I will show the working process of this project, but if you just want to see the App prototype, feel free to check it out here.
Paw Pal – keep cats and cats’ owners happily organised
Being a cat owner is not easy. There are vaccinations, worming, fleas, and vet checkups that we can easily lose track of. There are responsibilities to make sure there is enough food and litter, clean up their litter every day, and be on top of the budget for their leisure expenses – e.g. toys, snacks, etc. PawPal is here to keep you organised. It will help you schedule and set reminders of their medical needs. It will tell you when it’s time to top up on their favourite food and litter. There is a cat duty tracker to prompt whoever in the household is on cat duty today to clean up the cat’s litter. And also an expense tracker so you can spoil your cat with peace of mind that you have not yet overspent. If you have multiple cats, no problem, you can create multiple profiles in one app!
App functions:
- Add Profile
For each cat – age, birthday, sex, name, breed, weight, allergies, microchip, photos, etc. - Add Events
For each cat – Log, schedule, and set reminders of medical needs such as vaccination, worming and flea medication, and vet visits. - Schedule Cat duty
To share the cat toilet/litter clean-up responsibility with members of the household, and send a notification to the person on duty to clean up that day. - Track Expenses
To be able to track your expenses on the cat(s) and you may set a limit and receive a notification if you are close to it.
Target Users:
- Cat owners
- Cat carers
- Cat breeders
- Cat rescuers
